WHAT IS USTCL?

The United States Team Chess League is a nationwide online competition where state teams battle it out in daily chess matches! Founded in 2010, USTCL brings together chess players from across the country to represent their home states. Most games are 3-day time control rated games - perfect for busy players who want competitive chess without the live pressure!

WE NEED YOU, NEW JERSEY!

Our USTCL New Jersey team is growing with 1,755 active players, but we need MORE active players to dominate this season! Whether you're a seasoned veteran or an enthusiastic beginner, we want you on our team!

Step 2: Join Our Team After registering:

IMPORTANT SEASON GUIDELINES

Once you're on the team, remember:

  • Commit to completion - Only join tournaments if you can finish ALL games

  • No timeouts! >15% timeout rate = potential removal

  • Team loyalty - Once you play for NJ, you're with us for the season!

  • 100% completion goal - Let's show them what Jersey pride looks like!
