All according to USCF Rules . Rule book is soooooo long (don't read it), but basically here are some basics rules and modifies that will be applied in this tournament:
- Touch Move: If you touch a piece, you have to capture (if it's the opponent piece) or move it (if it is your piece)
- Illegal Moves: Illegal moves doesn't get you lose the game immediately, even if you had committed a move that didn't get you out of check legally. If you believe your opponent made an illegal move, pause your clock and call the arbiter.
- Sportmanship: Any player who does not shake hands with the opponent (or greets the opponent in a normal social manner in accordance with the conventional rules of their society) before the game starts in a tournament or during a match (and does not do it after being asked to do so by the arbiter) or deliberately insults their opponent or the officials of the event, will immediately and finally lose the relevant game.
- Tournament Director gets the final decision.
