The Recreation Therapy Department at the VA New Jersey Healthcare System – Lyons Campus is pleased to

announce our upcoming Recreation Therapy Community Fair, scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 1:00

PM to 3:00 PM in Building 143, Multipurpose Room (MPR).

This event is designed to foster community engagement and increase awareness of recreational resources

available to Veterans and their families across New Jersey. We cordially invite organizations that offer free or

low-cost recreational programs, services, or activities to participate in and share valuable information with our

Veteran community.

Our primary objectives for this event include:

• Promoting community well-being and resource awareness

• Connecting Veterans with accessible recreational opportunities

• Providing a platform for organizations to distribute educational materials, promote their programs and

services, and offer giveaways

• Creating a welcoming environment with entertainment, food, and refreshments
